What Goes Into a Custom Subwoofer Enclosure

Front Baffle
The panel your sub mounts to. We double it up so the sub stays planted and the wood doesn't flex when the cone moves.
Side Panels
Cut to your trunk or cab, not a catalog size. This is where a custom box gains back space a prefab wastes.
Bracing
Internal supports that tie the panels together. Less flex means less energy lost and fewer rattles.
Port
Port area and length set the tuning. Too small and you get chuffing. Too big and you lose the low end.
Net Volume
The air space left after the sub, port, and bracing take their share. Get this wrong and nothing else matters.
