Custom Golf Cart Subwoofer Boxes
Golf carts are built for everything except bass. The space is awkward, there's no cabin to hold the sound in, and Florida weather is always working against you. We build boxes that fit your cart and still hit hard out in the open.
Why a Car Box Doesn't Work on a Cart
Every cart is different
Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha, ICON, and Evolution carts all have different seat frames, storage areas, and rear seat kits. We measure the space you want to use and build the box to it, so it sits tight and stays put on rough paths.
There's no cabin
In a car, the cabin traps low frequencies and makes bass sound bigger than it is. A golf cart has no walls, so that boost is gone. Box volume, tuning, and which way the subs face matter more in open air, so we plan for it from the start.
Florida weather
Rain, humidity, and summer heat are hard on a box. Raw MDF swells when it gets wet, and cheap carpet fades and peels in the sun. Tell us how you ride and we'll choose materials and a finish that hold up.

Placement
Where Should Your Sub Go?
Rear Seat Storage
Most rear seat kits have a storage area under the flip seat. A box built into that space stays hidden and keeps the sub protected from the weather.
Pros
- +Out of sight and protected from rain
- +No seating lost
Cons
- –You give up that storage space
- –Fit depends on the seat kit brand
Best for
Daily cruising with a clean, stock look.
Powering a Sub on a Golf Cart
Tapping a few batteries in the pack to get 12 volts drains them unevenly and shortens their life. A voltage reducer or a dedicated 12 volt battery keeps the pack balanced and the amp fed.

Golf Cart Audio Questions
Can you put a subwoofer in a golf cart?
Yes. The most common spots are the rear seat storage area, the rear flip seat platform, or under the front seat on carts that have the room. The right spot depends on your cart and how much storage you want to keep.
Will a subwoofer drain my golf cart batteries?
It can if it's wired by tapping part of the battery pack. A voltage reducer or a separate 12 volt battery avoids that and keeps your pack balanced.
What happens if it rains?
Water is the biggest enemy of a wood box, so materials and finish matter more on a cart than in a car. We'll go over options that hold up to Florida weather when we quote your build.
Sealed or ported for a golf cart?
It depends on your space and what you want. Ported boxes get more output from the same power, which helps in open air. Sealed boxes are smaller and sound tighter. We'll recommend one based on your cart and your subs.
Which golf carts do you build for?
Club Car, EZGO, Yamaha, ICON, Evolution, and most other carts and LSVs. If you're not sure about yours, send us the make and model.
